I Promise You... Read more...
It's been some crazy weeks, let me tell you! Well, wish I could. This is Friday and I hope to have time to work on a blog post this weekend. God's speaking to me lots through my B90x Bible reading. We only have 14 days left. I read in Luke last night.
I'm going to leave a song with you today for this awesome Friday. Kerrie Roberts was in concert at our church Wednesday. I didn't get to go. The past two weeks fell in on me. I've been running around busy busy and my body finally said - ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! You have to remember, I went from like 10 miles an hour maybe to 100:) That's a major change and I'm loving it but I also have to let it rest:) Anyway, this song is, Keep Breathing, and is very appropriate for now and it's awesome and I keep listening over and over and bought it on I Tunes last night even. I hope you enjoy and it ministers to you.
Here it is Monday morning and God is still in control. He didn't get knocked off while we slept or anything. Isn't it good to know that HE is one constant in our lives? I woke up humming this Steven Curtis Chapman song. Where that popped up, I don't know, but it's perfect for today and this time in our history. I hope you take time and listen. If you didn't read my last post, I hope you'll do that, too. The present might look pretty bleak right now with what's going on in the world and here on the home front but God is still here. He's promised to always be with us.
Lord, please be with the people of Japan. What horrible devastation we see on television. We can't even imagine. You've promised to be with them. Help the masses come to know You. Show Your mighty hand in miracles. We stay glued to the television and we can pray. That's all many of us can do. Please act on our prayers. Thank You, Lord. Amen.
Okay, I'll let Steven talk now. Happy Monday, everyone.
Some days are like living in a Norman Rockwell painting; others... ummm...aren't. Friday we woke up to a normal everyday until we turned on the news: Japan earthquake and then the tsunami.
No matter what the circumstances, no matter what it LOOKS like, God is STILL in control. Even though it looks like nature has had it's way, God is there. Even though decisions are made and it seems to be no way out, God knows and has much better plans.
